Fall Line Home

DebutFall Line Winery is an artisanal producer of elegantly-styled wines. Specializing in blends of Bordeaux varietals, Fall Line crafts its wines with fruit from some of the most prized vineyard sites in Washington State.

Currently, Fall Line proudly offers three distinctive wines. Two showcase the unique personality of their respective vineyard sources in the Red Mountain and Horse Heaven Hills AVAs. These classic Bordeaux-style blends feature cabernet franc, merlot, and 'just the right amount' of cabernet sauvignon to lend perfect balance. The winery's third offering, a blend of 100% cabernet sauvignon, highlights varietal character in a graceful presentation that is sure to please devotees of this noble grape.

Fall Line Winery is located a few miles south of downtown Seattle, in the eclectic Georgetown neighborhood. Just a few miles farther, in South Park, you will find Fall Line's South Seattle Artisan Wineries (SSAW) founding colleagues—Cadence, :Nota Bene, and OS Winery. And a few miles north, in the heart of the SODO district, you'll find Fall Line's new SSAW colleagues—Elsom Cellars, Falling Rain Cellars, Sodovino, and Stomani Cellars & Winery.

In perhaps its most common usage, 'fall line' refers to the natural line of descent on a slope. Winemaker/owner Tim Sorenson and his wife/partner, Nancy Rivenburgh, are avid skiers. For them, 'fall line' evokes the image of a perfectly balanced skier, gracefully descending a slope of deep, fluffy powder—leaving behind a beautifully carved swoosh. It's what they aspire to on the slopes...and what you will savor in their wines. Balance. Grace. Depth.
